Com suas mais de 30 categorias, o Annie Awards reconhece anualmente o melhor no mundo das animações e os melhores usos de VFX. Em 2023, os vencedores serão premiados na noite do dia 25 de fevereiro com a participação de Wagner Moura, que foi nomeado por sua dublagem em Gato de Botas 2 - O Último Pedido.
Pinóquio, a versão de Guillermo del Toro para a Netflix, e Marcel the Shell with Shoes On, ainda inédito no Brasil, lideram as indicações com 9 e 8 menções, respectivamente. Red: Crescer é uma Fera, a maior animação da Disney/Pixar em 2022, no cenário de premiações, vem logo atrás deles com 7 indicações.
